The pool is about 90 degrees and gorgeous! :::::::ahh::::::::
We're back from the reading program.. Moira really liked it. I got the dates mixed up - I thought it was going to be Wed-Fri. It was Tues-Thurs. Whoops!
Ok ok - I caved in as well.. Check out my Hot or Not link and VOTE for me! Geez, do I sound pathetic enough? heehee!
The response when I clicked that I was a woman - "REALLY? You know, for every question, we track very carefully what each gender answers. This allows us to guess with the utmost accuracy what you are. And in the rare case where we guess incorrectly (like now), we have the opportunity to learn from nature's mistake. You. People like you, who walk the scary line between man and woman, are *very* helpful in understanding exactly what it means to be human. Thanks, and good luck." Nature's mistake? Jerks
(link via Jason) The Spark Gender Test Well - they are SO freakin wrong - they said I was definitely a MAN, based on my answers! "How do we know? Well, deep down, your gender affects everything about you, from your favorite number to your views on Canada. Many men who took the test think and act just like you, as you can see from the clusters above.(80%) Statistically speaking, you are a dude." I don't know if I should be flattered or offended. ::snicker::
We had a great time at my sis in law's house today. My niece is just so adorable :::proud auntie::: Right before we left, she decided to play in the dirt. She got absolutely filthy within 5 minutes. It was pretty funny. My sis in law is HUGE (for a skinny pregnant chick). She is due in about 3 weeks. It's a boy! I can't wait to meet him! Moira is starting her reading program tomorrow. Olivia and I will be going to the butcher while Moira is at the program. Then, around 2-ish, one of her buddy's will be coming over to go swimming and will be staying over for dinner. It should be fun. The pool is nice and warm again!

7/30/2002

Hmm - is blogrolling down? I am pooped. I stayed up too late, again. I was playing around with my new lamps, setting them up. I bought a couple little things for my niece and the baby. I truly think I could shop in Ikea all the time ::grin:: as long as I was ALONE! LOL! The kids were so tired. Paul and I were the parents who kept their kids out too late. Bad parents. But, there were things we needed and I had to have his opinion on some of those things. The kids weren't too bad - just kinda cranky. I did keep them awake the entire ride home. We were singing all kinds of songs. It was fun.
It seems that Mike has had his blog come up in some strange Google searches.
HAHA! Found this at Jennifer's blog - warning - strong language
Dara listed me for person of the week on her blog. Go visit her now and say hello! ::smile::
We're back. Oh my GAWD - I don't want to repeat that trip again. I don't know who was worse, the kids or Paul! LOL! We bought these really cool looking beech colored wall uplights. These are some storage boxes that I bought. I want this chair - it's SO comfortable and you certainly can't beat the price! This garbage can and just so much more. The kids didn't get to bed until 1115! Poor lil munchkins. We will be visiting my sis in law (the pregnant one) and her daughter tomorrow. It should be lots of fun! ::yawn:: I am pooped! G'night!

7/29/2002

Bloggin' from Mom's place... I found my phone. I had packed it in the diaper bag (Duh) and it shut off, due to low battery. I am SO happy I found it. I just bought the damn thing a month ago! LOL! Well - we are all heading out in a little while.. will update later! Bye!
Hrm - I lost my cell phone. I tried calling myself but only get my voice mail. Crap.
Good morning! Olivia is practicing the potty. We do this by stripping her down and putting the potty chair in front of the TV. It's like a recliner! ::smile:: While this was going on, I was able to make plans with my stepsister to get together in the next couple weeks. It should be fun! I have a bunch of things to do today. Paul and I decided to stop at Target first before heading up to Ikea. I am going to pack dinner in the car. I told the kids we will be having a "Car Picnic" tonight. They are thrilled! LOL! I figure we will meet at my Mom's place. Paul can leave his car there and then we will drive to Target. After Target, we will drive up to Ikea and have our "picnic" on the way. Gosh - I am soclever!
Lordy - I think I am all caught up on my reads! I'm heading to bed.

7/28/2002

Oh - Paul and I are going to Ikea tomorrow. We couldn't decide on lighting for the bedroom but we did find a couple things in the Ikea catalog. Soooo, back we go! Cool! The girls will love seeing all the planes landing. Ikea is right by Newark Airport. I want to bring my StepMom up to Ikea - I know she would LOVE this place.
Another busy day. Geez, I think I need a vacation ::grin:: Paul got a lot of work done around here, including sanding and priming the back door and frame. Poor guy, I think he is happy that tomorrow is Monday. He can get some rest at work. The Nap Buddies Heehee! I got lazy with dinner tonight...meatloaf, fresh steamed broccoli and rice with onions. Oh, and a fresh apple pie for dessert! We were supposed to eat the pie yesterday at the BBQ. I forgot all about it. Oopsie! I am watching Emeril Live right now. I love this guy - he's so funny. I met him a few years ago at a book signing. I got to get my picture taken with him and his autograph. He was a very nice guy. I would love to get to see his show in NYC.

7/27/2002

In response to a question left in my questbook, this is why they are called shoobies. Or, check out this link. For even more detailed info, click here and scroll about halfway down the page.
I am totally exhausted! Did the BBQ today - the weather was sucky. No rain but it was cloudy all freakin' afternoon. And the pool - oh my gosh, it was so cold. I don't know how the kids managed it. Brrr! I have tons of food leftover! I made 5 dozen small chocolate chip cookies. They are ALL gone! All the food at the BBQ was Olivia friendly with the exception of a small dish of potato salad. Right now I am watching Trading Spaces. It is my Saturday night ritual. This is the episode where the woman sobs off camera. ::hehehehe:: I love this episode.

7/26/2002

I am getting things ready for a BBQ we are having tomorrow. It will be nice to spend some time with friends. Just burgers and hot dogs, salads, chips, dip, veggies, fruit and fresh corn. Some other munchies too. I was making pasta salad. I had it boiling on the stove. I was surfing ebay and the web, just messing around. All of a sudden, I realized that the pasta was *still* boiling. I leapt out of the chair and quickly drained the pasta. Ick - all smooshy. So, they got tossed into the garbage and I am on batch number 2. Paul managed to stuff a bunch of storage totes back into the attic. I think I have to buy a little smaller size so he is able to lift them comfortably. They are a bit awkward to handle. I am running more laundry ::sigh:: Our pool is foamy! I have no idea how or why or what happened. It looks like a giant beer with a head on it. LOL!
I swear to God - I don't ever want to let my girls out of the house. Freaks. I cannot even imagine how I could survive without my girls.
Houseguest Questioned in Connection With Missing Girl Oh God - not another abduction...
Friday Five baby! 1. How long have you had a weblog? I started mine December 10, 2001. 2. What was your first post about? The exact quote would be "Wow! I have a blog!" Hey - I am deep! ::grin:: 3. How many changes (name, location, etc.) of your weblog have there been, if more than one? I have changed my template around but the name KateSpot has remained. 4. What CMS (content management system) do you use? Do you like it or do you want to try something else? I use Blogger and I am pretty pleased with it. Eventually, I would like to purchase my own domain and use MT. 5. Do you read people who have both a journal and a weblog? Or do you prefer to read people who have all of their writing in one central place? Oh heck, I love to read all different blogs and journals. A few of my faves have multiple blogs. God bless 'em - I have a hard enough time keeping up just 1 blog!
Good morning - I have yet to go to bed. I have been trying to clean up this place. UGH! I need a wife!! LOL! Dinner was quite yummy. Olivia scarfed down 2 sausages and 2 meatballs! I guess she liked them ::grin:: Not too much else going on around here. I wish there was a supermarket in my area that allowed you to shop on the web. It would really make my life so much easier! I have to go food shopping tomorrow with the kidlets. I also have to run a few errands as well. It should be loads of fun being stuffed in the car with them all morning ::eyeroll:: Well, better hit the bed. I am pooped!

7/25/2002

I scrubbed my kitchen cabinets and I am thoroughly disgusted. They were so nasty. Ew ew ew. We are not dirty people but you would never know it after looking at the cabinets. They look pretty nice now!
Oh - I know I have some new visitors according to my stats. C'mon, post a comment and say hello! I love comments!
The lawn guys showed up today. Hopefully, by next year, we will have a decent looking yard. The guy said we had so much crabgrass (in the back yard), if we killed it now, we wouldn't have anything back there at all! Dnner is already in the crockpot. Sauce, meatballs and sausage. The kids are THRILLED! They have been nagging me to make meatballs for a while. I just hate cooking stuff like that in the summer - too hot. But today, it is so gorgeous outside! I have all my windows open, ceiling fan on and I am getting a great cross breeze through the house. I have to clean today. I am having some friends and their kids over on Saturday for a BBQ. I hope the weather is nice. According to Weather.com, it is supposed to be partly cloudy 82/69 for the day. I can deal with that. The kids will all be in the pool anyway Well - gotta clean - see ya later!
After I said goodbye to Dara, I shopped!

7/24/2002

Mom came down for lunch today. We never made it in the pool... too damn chilly and rainy. Ick. But, we need the rain. I will be getting ready for my trip to Ikea - can you tell I really love Ikea?? LOL! I have to jump in the shower and get ready. Plus, I have to get dinner all set for Paul and the kidlets. They are having fun right now. Unfortunately, there is Play-Doh all over my floor. Ack!
(link snagged from BarCodeKing)
I am linus
Which Peanuts Character Are You Quiz
Oh my gosh! Totally forgot to mention this - :::Drumroll please::: Olivia used the potty last night! YAY!
It's pretty sad that the best time for me to color my hair (L'oreal Excellence Creme 6RB for my curious bloggerees) is 1245am. So, you may ask, why are you doing your hair *now? Well, I am WAY overdue. I have gray hairs at my temples ::sob:: Very noticable gray hair. ::sniffle:: Besides, I don't want to scare Dara into thinking she's meeting an old lady LOL! It should be fun - we will be meeting up tomorrow night at Ikea (LOVE that place!) around 615pm. We will do dinner and shopping! Wheeee! Girls night out!

7/23/2002

Dinner was AWESOME! I can't get over just how good fresh corn can be! I just caught the season premiere of Sex and the City. I loved the scene when Brady's belly button came off and the cat snagged it! Bahahahaha! I also have to say that Steve is looking kinda cute. ::grin::
Olivia and I stopped at a farm market and got some beautiful tomatoes and luscious looking cherries. I also picked up 6 ears of corn and 4 cucumbers. So - dinner tonight will be grilled steaks, fresh corn and tomatoes and pasta salad. Well - off to cook!
We're baaaaaack! I spent $78 at Bruno's! I got a bunch of cold cuts and I bought some GREAT looking Del Monico steaks and 2 lbs of homemade sweet sausage. Paul is thrilled. He's been wanting a good steak for a while. Moira will be spending the later part of the afternoon with a buddy and she was also invited for dinner. After that, they are taking her to a kiddie amusement park for a couple hours. YAY! She's excited about it. Me too!
(story from Yahoo) Most Afghan boys are circumcised between the age of two and five by religious elders who say a prayer before removing the foreskin with a knife -- without anaesthetic. If the boys are lucky, they will be plunged into an icy stream before the ritual in order to numb any pain. But the Turkish operation -- while yielding to tradition -- was a strictly medical procedure with a local anaesthetic being applied before the foreskin was removed with a sort of soldering- iron gun that cuts through the flesh and seals the wound behind it at the same time. (it's good to be Turkish... at least you can get anaesthetic!)

(link snagged from Erin) I think I am gonna barf... check out this headline.
Have tons of errands to do today.. bank, butcher, Shop Rite.. I will be signing Moira up for a summer reading program. It looks like a lot of fun!
G'night!
(link snagged from Colin) Extreme Survival Quiz. I scored 6 out of 17 "You are so dead! You never stood a chance. Do yourself a big favor and brush up on your survival skills." Sheesh!
Well - better late than never! Moira's party went extremely well. The kids had a blast, the pizza was excellent and the ice cream was awesome! YUMMY! I haven't had pizza (excluding a trip to Pizza Hut which was DISGUSTING) in over a year. It was soooooo good! LOL! Moira got some really nice presents. She was most excited about the Matchbox cars, racing set and the game of Operation. She did get some Barbies (ew) and some cool art and crafts stuff. Now, before I get bashed about Barbie, it's not that I don't like Barbie. We have too MANY Barbies! ::grin:: But - Moira enjoys playing with them from time to time, depending on her mood. My Mom *hates* Barbies.. says it gives girls a negative self image. C'mon. If my daughters think that they are supposed to look just like an adult version of Barbie when they grow up, then Paul and I haven't done our jobs as parents.

7/22/2002

Ok - it's way too hot out. We're going in the pool. Wheeeeeee!
Moira's playdate is here. He is such a cutie.. I love this kid! He's so polite.
::yawn:: I stayed up way too late last night. I was reading A Cup of Comfort for Friends. It's very much like a Chicken Soup for the Soul type of book. Of course, I bawled through half the stories... Today is Moira's party. One of her buddies is coming over around noon for a playdate. Then, I will be taking the both of them to the party later today. I have someone coming to test out water. He'll be here between 10am and noon. I guess I should get cleaned up so I don't scare the crap out of him!

7/21/2002

LOVELY day today! Did a lot of work around the house. I managed to get to the Dollar Store to buy crap for the goody bags. "Goody bags?", you may ask. Yes, goody bags. Moira is having her official birthday PARTY tomorrow night at the local pizza place. After I feed all 8 young hooligans (and their parent(s)), we will be walking next door and getting ice cream. Very easy. No clean up for me to worry about! YAY! I also got over to KMart and bought 10 more 21 gallon storage totes. Oy - too much work!

7/20/2002

I just *love* Trading Spaces! Paul loves Amy Wynn.
Ahhh! A chance to sit down for a few minutes and have a drink ::getting comfortable:: One of my sis in laws was supposed to come over for a visit but she had to cancel at the last minutes. The kids were a bit disappointed but they managed to get over it. Paul and I were working in the bedroom, hanging a desk top (it folds down) and painting. Work called.. he has to go in. Now. Crap. So, while he was gone, I was repacking the kids clothes, storing them in Rubbermaid totes, to be put back up in the attic. Let me tell you, the girls have a LOT of clothes. I got rid of a lot of the smaller stuff but there are some that I just can't bear to part with. Olivia will be one well dressed little girl. Moira's clothes are in pretty good shape so I store them in the attic until Olivia can fit into them. I also cleaned out their closets (LOTS of clothes) and dressers. While up in the attic, I found some boxes of books. Titles like Little Women, my Riverdance program and book, a book about Disney villans, some Star Trek trivia books (in good shape too - maybe ebay?) and a bunch of others. I have to pick through them... in my spare time of course ::grin:: Well - time to get the pasta going - spaghetti for dinner tonight! Yummy!

7/19/2002

I am getting attacked by a freakin FLY! It's DIVE bombing me! Ack!
Oh - we had a great time at the mall today. Moira got a bunch of clothes from Old Navy, JC Penney and the Disney Store (who are having a 50% off sale on kids clothes). She picked out some pretty nice stuff although I drew the line at fleece pants with the word "Angel" across the ass! Yes - they were for 5-7 year olds.. nice, huh? She just liked the pants. I freaked out (inwardly) and said to her,"Well, your Dad would freak out if we brought home pants with words across your butt!" The funny part, she agreed! By the time we left the mall, the traffic and weather were SO awful, we ended up going to my Mom's house and eating dinner there. She wasn't home. Dan, her partner, was getting his pacemaker put in today. He's doing great. My Mom came home around 715pm and was happy to see us. I think she needed to just have the kids around her, just all silliness and goofiness. They really make her so happy too. ::smile::
WAY to go Zannie and Allan! Little Packet is here - all 7lbs and 20.5 inches of him. ::sniffle:: I love babies! My other girlfriend had HER baby tonight! Little Haley! It's stormin' babies!
Did you guys hear about Sharon Osbourne? Oh man.. so sad. No one should EVER have to suffer from cancer.
Hmm - 2 kids, cloudy rainy day and no TV ( I won't turn it on - Moira is so mad! LOL!). I am thinking ROAD TRIP! Freehold Mall.. here we come!

7/18/2002

Easy dinner tonight.. hot dogs! Woohoo! I had a meeting at church tonight to discuss Sunday School in the fall. We need to get some more volunteers to assist us. There are a lot of kids and not enough classrooms. The church is going be going through a major renovation, rebuilding the sanctuary and adding on classrooms. Our Pastor is very much interested in technology and would like to set up (in the near future) a computer lab for the kids. We've got a great curriculum set up for the kids. I hope we can get a few more volunteers!
We had a nice afternoon - until we had massive thunder and lightening around 2pm. Mom came down for lunch and a swim. The girls had a blast, as usual, when any grandparent comes for a visit. We lost power, just for a moment. I had to re-boot the computer ::grr:: but there were no other incomveniences besides that.
Good luck Zannie! We are all pulling...err....pushing...umm.. ROOTING for you! Yeah - that's it! Go Zannie! Have Brucie already! Push 'em out, shove 'em out, WAYYYYY out!

7/17/2002

Where the hell are all these flies coming from? I have a crapload of them in my house! I think Paul killed about 8-10 of the little bastards. UGH - I HATE 'em!
Oh man.. they found that poor little 5 year old girl who was missing in California. I can't wait until they catch that bastard. Sick freak.
It is hot today. Bleech.
Hmmmph! Looks like one bottle I purchased is a Wheaton figural bottle. I am trying to figure out when they were produced. I guess I won't be making my millions on Antique Roadshow today!
Back from Wal-Mart. Don't get me started about the damn senior citizens! But, I did find a nice desk lamp for my bedroom for about $20. I didn't see any quilts that I liked though. It's going to be hard, looking for one that I like. We also stopped at the old/new shop and I found a couple neat looking bottles. One is an old glass AVON mouthwash bottle, with the original top. The bottom of the bottle says AVON Breath Fresh Mouthwash. Use full strength in the morning, after meals, before social engagements. ::grin:: I'll have to see what I could sell it for on eBay!
Good morning campers! Had a great day yesterday... I rounded up the kidlets around 4pm and brought them back into the house so I could get dinner started. After dinner, I got to go food shopping by myself! ::happy dance:: I managed to spend about $122 on basics.. like ketchup, paper towels, produce, etc.. Paul took the kidlets into the pool while I was out and managed to get them all tired out. After they were in bed, Paul was playing with our scanner and trying to capture some images he had on paper. Our scanner is pretty outdated - especially by current standards. Just 600x1200 and I *think* 30 bit color. I saw an article about some of the new Epson scanners being released :::drool::: I want one! Especially this one. Well - Christmas is coming.... Paul had made an appointment for Tru-Green (lawn service) to come and give us an estimate. Our lawn is pathetic. . I had just gotten up and was walking into my living room when I heard my screen door open. Scared the crap out of me - I thought someone was breaking in my house! Turns out it was Dom. He got here at 810am ::yawn:: Heck, we were still sleeping when he arrived. We didn't have to be home (or awake! LOL!) when he arrived so he wrote up the estimate. Pretty reasonable - and we need to do SOMETHING. Our lawn is begging for help!

7/16/2002

Oh my gosh - it is SO nice outside. I just steppped inside to get the kids some ice pops and jump online super quick. Sun, comfy chair and Harry Potter are calling me back outside... Ciao!
EW! Got this link from Quinn. I can't believe I did it!
Ok - I fixed the gallery link. NOW, you are able to check out my pictures!
Just got back from the butcher shop - Bruno's. God - I love that place. Next time, I am going to buy some steaks... they look SO good. YUMMY!
Can anyone get to my photo gallery? Does the link work?

7/15/2002

Paul is watching a show on HBO with Ray Liotta and John Leguizamo. It's about a pyromaniac - Point of Origin. I am totally freaked out - I can't imagine how a person is able to do such a thing to another living thing.
I have been shredding more papers. Ugh. I swear, I have to get more organized!
I have been working in the house all day.. Oy.. am I tired!
I am uploading some really nice shots from yesterday's party and the fair. Check them out here!
Ok, ok, I'll jump on the bandwagon...here's my blogchalk Google! DayPop! This is my blogchalk: English, United States, New Jersey, Manahawkin, Kate, Female, 31-35!
C'mon people.... just $25 more dollars will bring Erin to her minimun amount so she can walk! Donate til it hurts... then donate some more!
I am so stinkin' tired! Miss Olivia woke up no less than 5 times last night... between 330am and 445am. I didn't get to bed until 2am! Poor kid, I have NO idea why she was up so much ::sigh:: but she seems pretty perky this morning. ::yawn:: At least someone does!
Been playing with my template. Whaddya think? Be honest - but gentle!

7/14/2002

We had a GREAT day today. I have a bunch of pictures that I need to upload (from Friday and today). We visited my Dad and StepMom today. We all had a great time. It was nice to see my niece again. I gave them a copy of the girls portrait (the one from the fair). I didn't have time to get it framed but they will be dropping it off at a shop near them to have it professionally framed (it's 13x17) and I will pay for it. We left around 645 and made it home by 730pm. Bath, meds, books and bed. 9pm - turned on the Robin William special on HBO. I laughed my ASS off. In fact, I laughed so hard that I had an asthma attack. His description/re-enactment of a colonoscopy exam was priceless. A narrative of a "Viagra Moment" caused me to cry from laughing so hard. So now - the special is over. My hands are all jittery from my asthma inhaler. Nothing like a few shots of albuterol to make a person all shaky! Wheee! I need to work on the photographs.. will try to update later!

7/13/2002

HOLY crap! It seems like forever since I have updated! ::sobbing:: Can ya'll forgive me? The past couple days have been extremely busy. I took the girls to the Ocean County Fair yesterday. It was gorgeous but hot. We saw a bunch of animals (4-H shows), a comedian/magician that totally enthralled Moira! I had the girls profile drawn by a man who used all pencils and chalk. The likeness was very eerie - he really caught them dead on, even down to a small dimple in Moira's left cheek. Beautiful - I can't wait to frame it and hang it up ASAP! Our bedroom is still an ongoing project. So far, the 2 bureaus are finished. They look fabulous. The 3rd dresser still needs to be primed and painted. So far, the room is REALLY coming together nicely, even though we don't get too much time to work on it when the kidlets are around! We also put up some wood shelves and we also are going to hang a small drop leaf desktop. It drops down when not in use and it will certainly come in handy OUR next project is the living room and hallway. We are going to rip up the carpet (YAY!) and replace it with the Pergo Presto, which is just snap together.. no glue. I have a trip planned to IKEA and l will be getting some small lamps and some decorative storage for the bedroom (to go on the shelves). Oh yeah, and meeting Dara too! ::grin:: Paul and I went through our 4 drawer file cabinet and we shredded 3 garbage bags FULL of old papers, pay stubs, etc.. I hate filing!!! Well - I have a busy day for tomorrow. Moira and Paul are going to church in the morning and have to run a couple errands. We are going to my Dad and Step-Mom's house tomorrow for a combination birthday and anniversary lunch/dinner thingie! It will be fun - I get to see my niece, whom I haven't seen since May. Ta-ta for now!

7/11/2002

I think Colin shops at my Shop Rite! Read this GREAT supermarket rant!
Well, we never made it to the fair today. But, we can go tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be just as beautiful tomorrow too. Hooray! I was outside most of the day with the girls. I puttered around the yard, cleaning the flower boxes, running the sprinkler, washing, hanging on the line, and folding a mountain of laundry. Or, as Allison says, "mount laundry" Teehee! So, I am pooped. My knobs arrived today and they look FABULOUS! ::grin:: What can I say, I have great knobs!
I am CONNECTED! Woohoo! I have to say, cable modems ROCK! My father in law is coming down in a little while to pick up his power washer we borrowed a couple weeks ago. It's 70 degrees! Gorgeous clear skies.. white puffy clouds. I love this type of weather. I am going to take the girls to the Ocean County Fair today, if things work out around here. I'll catch up more later! Ta-ta!

(link snagged from Heather)

Which Willy Wonka character are you?
I am the most annoying of all Wonka characters. I am so greedy, snobby; basically just a stuck-up rich bitch. Everyone hates me! I am Veruca Salt. You most often are found saying "I want it now!" My fate: I fall down the educated eggdicator, where I am possibly "sizzled like sausage".
I got my cable modem! YAY! Now - normally, I would set it up right away. Except, I can't. The cable outlet/jack it behind our mammoth sized entertainment center. It is impossible for me to move. So - I have to wait until tonight to test it out. If I have waited 3 years, I suppose another 4 hours won't kill me. I hope!
Michael Jackson and the race card, as mentioned by kd. My comments? MJ is a freak. Plain and simple. He is a walking example of a child star experiment gone completely wrong. He is just so disturbing looking. The simple fact that he chose to do this to himself is just frightening. I found this, with 3 pictures, from ChuckJerry. Check it out and bring your barf bag.
Speaking of pregnant - Zannie, what the heck is going on with you and lil Brucie??
A friend of mine was in a car accident yesterday. She is pregnant and due in 3 weeks. Thank God she is ok and of course the baby is ok too. She rear-ended someone. The police officer was right behind her when she did it.
Happy Birthday Dad! I love you!

7/09/2002

YAY! I am going to meet Dara on 7/24 at IKEA. What could be more fun than an evening of good friends, dining together and shopping? Not too much more!
WOO! We just signed up for digital Internet with Comcast! Hooray! I'll be connected by tomorrow!
I HATE AOL! Arrrgghh!
I need to get a stinkin' cable modem. It's taking me forever to shop! Arrgghhh!
While Moira is in VBS, we will be heading to the Depot to check out paint samples. I think I am painting my living room red!
YAY! My knobs are on the way! They should be delivered tomorrow!
Finally, a chance to sit down and write. Moira loved all her stuff, especially the Pixter ::grin:: I will probably pick up some of the game cartridges off eBay. (*SPEAKING of eBay, have you guys heard that eBay is buying PayPal? Hmmm.. what a way to corner the market!) Mom and Dan came down to visit yesterday. Mom went swimming with the girls. They had a blast! Moira also has Vacation Bible School this week. 6pm-8pm. She loves it. Gee - life is good! The pastor of the church was looking for people to help with the website (as I had posted earlier this week, the church site is a mess). I tinkered with it, just set up some basics (links, etc) and sent it to him. He really liked it. So, I will be helping with that too. He is pretty fluent in database work (Access and Visual Basic) and can write his own ASP pages! I am impressed!

7/08/2002

I just finished baking a birthday cake for Moira. She will be six years old today ::sniffle:: I can remember SO much about the day she was born. By the time she arrived, I was so exhausted. My labor started around 730am and I finally had her via C-section at 7:10pm. She was 7 lbs 15oz and 19 inches long. Happy Birthday to my wonderful, beautiful daughter. I am so proud of you and I love you very much.

7/07/2002

Anyone have a good link for bedding and bedspreads? I know of Domestications. Any other good ones?

More painting being done here. The bedroom walls have been completed. Now, we are doing the sills and door. I ordered these clear glass pulls (30 of them) for our newly painted dressers. 1 was a brownish-orange wood color and the other 2 were a beige color with flowers stenciled on them (ick). Hey - I can't complain about the furniture.. they are all good pieces.. just ugly. Now, they are painted a lovely clean white!
Susan, I hope things are ok in your neck of the woods. I have been reading about all the flooding in San Antonio. Oy!
I am such a geek - I am a State Quarter junkie. If anyone would like to save me some state quarters, I would buy them from you.
Beautiful day! Wooooooooooo!
Oh.. one more thing! Good thoughts and wishes to Zannie.. she will be having her baby VERY soon!
:::Yawn::: Going to bed.. Mom is coming over in the morning (wait, it's ALREADY morning! LOL!) around 10-ish to swim. Paul had to fix a couple parts on the pump today. He is SO handy! My Dad and Step-Mom were down today. My SM went swimming with the girls. They were in heaven! It was really cute. They finally got out and we had a nice lunch. They left around 2-ish. Then, Paul and I took the girls back into the pool for about another hour. We ended up grilling some chicken for dinner. The girls had a great time, playing in the sandbox, on the swings, chasing fireflies... it was a lot of fun! They stayed outside a little too late and by the time they got cleaned up and ready for bed, it was 930pm. Hey - it's summer. They did crash big time though! No noise from either one of them. Well - I will chat more on the morrow! Ciao!
I want blogrolling but they aren't accepting any new accounts as of yet.::whining:: But I waaaaaaaaaant it. Heee!

It seems that Moira is now addicted to Junkyard Wars - she loves the show! She is just like her dad.
Jason! Where are you? When will you be back?
it's 11:49am and 93 degrees. Of course Paul is mowing the yard. Idiot.
A Happy and Safe 4th of July to everyone. Don't blow off any body parts!

Crazy busy day today. Up early, did banking and headed up to Mom's place. I did a bunch of errands for her. The girls and I didn't get back home until 445pm. My poor plants looked like hell. I had to water the hell outta them. The pool was actually very very warm. We didn't even go swimming tonight. I wanted to hustle the kidlets into bed on time tonight (which I sorta did!) I might be helping to work on my church's webpage. It's really pretty bad ::gulp:: Should I say that? LOL!

Moira had a friend over today. The girls had a lot of fun.. BBQ, pool, make-up kits, dress up clothes... I wanna be 6 again!
I found a local butcher shop (Brunos) that sells Boars Head deli products. They also have a childrens boutique and a detailing shop as well. Inside the butcher shop, they were advertising a "Luca Brasi" cheesecake. Teehee! My step-Mom would LOVE this place. Very old school type shop. I bet there are a few places like this up in Brooklyn. The woman who runs the shop, Marie, was really very nice and helped us out. She shared a few slices of the meats and they were VERY good. I think I will be shopping here about once a week! I only spent $20.19!
