It's the day from hell already.
(warning - VERY strong language ahead)
I was all set to go to the hospital 20 minutes ago. I was all packed and Mom was going to watch Olivia for me while I was there. Apparently, I BENT my freakin car key so I can't get INTO my fucking car. I try to re-bend it (a fricking joke). It doesn't work. SHIT! So I get my purse and Olivia and go back in the house to call a locksmith. The few that I call aren't even OPEN. I finally get one moron on the phone who tells me that it will cost me $100 to come out and give me a new key. Well - I don't have a spare $100 so I am freakin stuck at home. I turn the TV on for Olivia and go back outside to get the diaper bag (down off the front porch and 5 steps to my car).I was outside a total of 10 freakin seconds. I get back to the door and find out that Olivia has LOCKED me out. She flipped the latch on my screen door. I spent 10 minutes trying to get her to open the door. She KNEW she was in such deep shit that she didn't unlock the door. Finally, when she did open it, she caught HOLY hell and one helluva spank. I put her in her room before I killed her (not really). I can't get in touch with my StepMom or my brother. They are in the hospital. They aren't expecting me until noon. Paul is at a training class and is out of touch. SO - I can't call him either.
Fuck. What a shitty day.

::deep breath::
The kids are in bed... and I am relaxing on the computer. I remember about 6 years ago, laughing at Paul for goofing around on the computer, calling him a puter geek, etc. Well, guess who is the bigger nerd now? ME!
After I picked up Moira at the busstop, I got the fantastic idea to go food shopping. Duh. $168.44 later and I have a ton of food. You know, the basics, mustard, Wonder Bread (it IS fortified, more so than most white bread), bagels, hotdogs, and a TON of fresh produce. I love the spring - everything looks so much fresher. I have been getting Paul and Moira to eat salad almost every night. I have been sneaking in fresh spinach among the Iceberg and Romaine lettuce. Teehee!
A husband is advised by a psychiatrist to assert himself. "You don't have to let your wife henpeck you. Go home and show her you're the boss."
The husband takes the doctor's advice. He rushes home, slams the door, shakes his fist in his wife's face, and growls, "From now on, you're taking orders from me. I want my supper right now, and when you get it on the table, go upstairs, and lay out my best clothes. Tonight, I'm going out with the boys, and you are going to stay at home where you belong. And another thing, guess who's going to comb my hair, give me a shave, and tie my necktie?"
His wife calmly replies, "The undertaker."
Bahahaha!
Whew! Just got back home about 20 minutes ago. Olivia and I visited my Dad, went shopping, stopped at a farm market to visit the animals and had lunch at McD's. While shopping, I bumped into a classmate from high school. She looked great. She had 2 adorable children with her. The oldest one was in school. Very very cute kids. We chatted briefly as we wandered around the store. I paid for my stuff and then said goodbye to Allison. We bumped into her again at the farm and I am hoping to hear from her via email.
I am doing my hair now. I should be "cooked" in about 15 minutes. Hopefully, the color takes!

Goodbye Steve. I miss you already.
This link will help in dealing with the transition from Steve to Joe. AND - I will even admit to my eyes filling up when Steve said goodbye to the audience ::sniffle::

Is it me or is the Steve replacement a little too perky looking? This link will take you to Al Roker's blog. Scroll down and there is a picture of "Joe".

Hi!
Remember me? ::grin:: I don't think I have updated ya'll since Friday.. it seems like forever.
My Macromedia Flash class started on Friday. There was a problem in the computer lab and somehow the Flash software wasn't installed. Duh. So, my first class consisted on the instructor using her laptop and a projector, running the program and explaining what things were. Great. What a way to start the class. The software thing wasn't her fault but still... they couldn't get a tech person out there to fix the problem? It *is* a college ::shaking head::
Saturday morning, the girls and I drove up to my Mom's place. Had a nice time. She had a lot of energy, which was nice to see! I split and dug up some of her Shasta Daisies so I could plant them at my house. I love those things! They grow SO tall and look very pretty. I love daisies - my wedding bouquet and most of the flowers at my wedding were daisies. As we were leaving, we bumped into my brother, who was down for the weekend. He was spending time with my Dad and Step-Mom. Speaking of Dad, his surgery is Wednesday and all good thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated. Paul was able to get a lot of yard work done with us being out of the way. We had a major argument about where I was going to plant the daisies. I ended up digging up a bed with a bunch of hostas and rearranging them so I could fit those damn daisies in the ground. Grrrrrrrr!
I had to teach Sunday School today - I had 12 kids in class today. Age range 3-9. Luckily, the 11am Sunday School service is pretty relaxed. So, we watched a Veggie Tales episode "Where's God When I am S-scared?" It was pretty cute. Then, I had the kids color some pictures about what good things they can think about when they are scared. We just stayed around the house today. I napped in the reclined (very nice indeed). Dinner was pretty simple - Breakfast for dinner night! The kids LOVE that and it takes the pressure off me!
Some thunder and lightening going on here.. pretty cool to watch. I tried to take some pictures of the lightening but the shutter speed of my digital is too damn slow. There were some cool looking bolts.. At one point, I am standing in my front yard, in socks, trying to catch the sky lighting up. Then I looked up and I realized I was standing under a TREE! DUH! I zipped back into the house.
Off to catch up on emails.. be good and have a great night! BYE! ::smooches::
